PopSugar Must Have Luxury Edition

As soon as I heard about this box I got excited, I quickly signed up and started the seemingly long wait until it arrived.  It arrived on time (though from what I've heard, I'm lucky it arrive at all, let along in one piece) and I quickly dug into it.  As almost every review I've read so far would agree, it was a pretty big let down. A could of the products were pretty cool, but overall, for the price paid, it was disappointing. 

Here were the contents of this years' Luxury Edition - in order of favorites.

Tocca Scented Candle
This was my favorite item in the box, it smells absolutely delightful.  The product brags about a 60-hour burn time, we will see about this over time :)

Deborah Lippmann Lip & Nail Duet
The colors I received were exactly my style, I can't wait to try these out for New Years!

Epicuren After Bath Moisturizer
I was surprised at the size of the bottle - its definitely a full size product!  I was hoping for the advertised scent but ended up with Lemongrass - either way, lotion is always a great gift.

Compagnie De Provence Liquid Hand Soap
This french soap is advertised to be the ultimate soft skin hand soap. With winter upon us, my hands are constantly searching for ways to hydrate, so if this holds to be true, it will be a true find!

Vosges Mini Chocolate Bar Library
Any other time of year this would be closer to the top of the favorite list - but because I have been bombarded with sweets and chocolate already, it snuck its way down the list.  There are three flavors of chocolate, each one is a little...different, but that won't stop me from at least trying them!

Heather Belle Cuff

I'm sure if I was more of a fashion buff I would like this...however; the first thing I thought of when I put it on was Super Woman - and that's just not my style.

Jewelmint Clutch

HUGE let down here - They say Kate Bosworth was spotted with this clutch; however I find myself questioning that.  This is an all-metal...box...I wouldn't call this a clutch...ever...

PopSugar Must Haves - December 2012

This is the first month that I signed up for the PopSugar Must Have subscription box.  I was intrigued by previous boxes, and though everything I've read says this was not the typical box quality, I was still very happy with it.  Let's see what I got!

Bodum Bistro Mugs - These are probably my favorite item in the box, they keep my iced tea cold all day; not to mention they are just fun to drink from, I took one to work to drink my iced AND hot tea from, depending on the day.

Bogdon's Peppermint Poles - These should be on everyone's Winter Must Have list! I usually buy these every year to stir my hot cocoa with but couldn't find any this year - Perfect!

Tea Forte - This is another box of tea samples.  Over the last several months I have received several tea samples and to be quite honest, I haven't tried any of them.  Maybe I'll start a new segment in January - "Sample Tea of the Month"

Jaboneria Marianella Soaps - The packaging says this is made with antiaging argan oil, soothing oatmeal, and shea butter.  I have to be picky with face washes, most of the chemicals usually make my face break out, so I'm actually really excited to start using this to see how it does!

Pinch Provisions Minimergency Kit - This is another one of my favorites from the box.  This picture is kind of deceiving, this little pink bag is about the size of my hand, but don't be fooled, it is packed full of useful items! It includes: Adhesive bandage, pain reliever, safety pin, earring backs (most impressive), deodorant towelette, nail polish remover pad, stain remover, double sided tape, clear elastics, breath freshener, lip balm, mending kit, dental floss, clear nail polish, emery board, tampon, and hair spray!!! Need I say more??

GoSwype - Phone screen cleaner wipe, to wipe makeup and germs from your phone screen.

Rent the Runway $30 Giftcard - I don't really ever go to the types of events you would wear these dresses to, so this will most likely go unused...

Love with Food - December 2012

My Love with Food box came in today! I hadn't seen any of the sneak peaks so everything in it came as a total surprise, and boy was I surprised!! It was FULL of chocolaty trips to share devour tonight in the next few days!

The description card came on a cute snowman card, definitely helped set the tone of the box. This picture also shows my two favorite items from the box.  A Belgian Chocolate Dipped Nutter Butter (YUM!) and two Candy Cane Truffles!!!

Here is a bag of Salty Caramel Popcorn, Chocolate Taste Squares, and a Chocolate Dipped Gingerbread Man.

Finally, a package of Mocha Mint Cappuccino, Honey Roasted Almonds, and Salt Water Taffy!!

Love With Food - November 2012

For those of you unfamiliar with Love with Food, for $10 a month they will send a box of unique snacks and in exchange they will donate one meal to the hungry.  This month they did something special, instead of one meal, they donated two meals for every subscription and donated them to help those struggling from Hurricane Sandy. This months box was full of great looking products! All of these are things I know I will enjoy trying and will be snacking on all week!

Aspen Cider Spices - It says this can be used in drinks or in recipes, though I'm sure I will be using it to make a nice simple Apple Cider when it gets colder outside.

Pumpkin Spice Tea - This is the season for pumpkin spice flavored everything, though tea is not something I had considered, I can't wait to try this one out!

Skeeter Chocolate Chunk Cookies - The packaging says this is a completely nut free product.  I don't have a nut allergy, but as someone who LOVES chocolate chip cookies, I feel I can give an honest opinion on whether this tastes like the real thing or not ;)

Truffle Pig Dark Chocolate Truffle - Chocolate truffle...need I say more? 

Inka Corn - These were a great snack (yes I have already devoured them) This is something I wanted to eat in the privacy of my home to relieve others of the smelly breath that I knew would ensue.

Little Red Dot Kitchen: Turkey - This too has been enjoyed already.  I was expecting something like jerky, but the texture is a little different. Still tastes great though!

Mini Crunch: Strawberry Almond - I am taking this to work as a snack, this looks like it will be a perfect snack!

Love with Food - September 2012

I have finally stepped my foot into the subscription box world!  My first box arrived this week from LoveWithFood and I couldn't be more excited!! I wish I could afford to subscribe to several different types of boxes from different companies, but for now, this will do :) I got a great variety of items!

LoveWithFood advertises that for $10 a month you will receive a box with 8+ gourmet items and with every box they send out, they will donate a meal to a hungry child.  How could I pass that up?

First up was the bonus item for this month - Muscat Grape Jelly by Bonne Maman.

My favorite part of this is the adorable, tiny little container it came in :)  I am not normally a jelly eater, but since I am trying new things this year, I will be trying this as soon as I have some toast to put it on! 

Next are my two favorite items in the box - San Franola Granola & Barney Butter Almond Butter

The granola has already been consumed....quite quickly may I add, and it was wonderful; just a hint of cinnamon!  And if you know the strength of my love for peanut butter, you will understand my excitement about this almond butter.  I have never had anything besides PEANUTbutter - but I am more than willing to try any variation of the best food on earth....and did I mention its gluten free!!

I also received 4 different flavors of coffee substitute (?) I'm not entirely sure what that means and I'm honestly not a coffee drinker, but if I can get my hands on a coffee pot somewhere I promise to try these out immediately, just to say I tried :)

They included two bags of gluten free snacks, Tropical Blend Crunch Dried Fruit and roasted Edamame Crunch Dried Snack.  These are also something new to my diet - but they will be wonderful snacks for that 3:00 munchie attack at work!

And FINALLY there were sample size flavored balsamic vinegar.  There are endless uses for these and I can't wait to find a great way to incorporate them into a meal soon!
